In Liberia children as young as eight have been caught up in the war, blindly following rebel leaders. Many are now veterans aged about 20, unable to enjoy a normal night's sleep, subject to anxieties, depression. The future holds little promise for them, who are now too old for school. Every day Radio "Talking Drum" does its best to keep the hopes alive with its plays.

ln Liberia, bambini di 8 anni hanno combattuto in guerra, credendo alle promesse dei capi della ribellione. Oggi hanno circa 20 anni. Angoscia, incubi, depressione all'ordine del giorno. Troppo vecchi per andare a scuola, non hanno più un avvenire. Radio «Talking Drum» trasmette ogni giorno pièces teatrali radiofoniche per cercare di ridargli speranza.
