In 1977, a box of diaries and letters was found in the cellar of the Palais Wilson in Geneva. They had been left behind there by Sabina Spielrein upon her return home to Russia in 1923. Her notes shed a new light on the beginning stages of psychoanalysis. Through her correspondence with Freud and Jung, the degree of influence she had on both of the leading figures of the movement becomes clear. A human drama took place behind the facade of the academic dispute.
