The film is the visual metaphor of a text that my father wrote during one of his countless prison terms in Marseille in 1992. Pen and paper helped him succeed in processing his difficult childhood during 15 years of imprisonment. Travelling alone by car from Geneva to Marseille, I undertake an odyssey to return to the place where I can re-enact my father’s memories and where my identity was formed, to a place where a fantasy is nurtured and where the landscape, bearing the seal of freedom my father spoke of in his text, enables me to find myself again.
