What happens to utopias when they are actually lived? And how do ideas have the power to unite people beyond all borders? The film revolves around the global phenomenon of “crossing borders” and documents experiences made when integrating oneself into a foreign culture. For more than one year the filmmakers accompany the two internationally acclaimed European musicians – Gentleman and Alborosie – who have found a new spiritual homeland in the Caribbean culture of Jamaica.
