David Max has an accident in the mountains at the age of 17. After a 3-month coma, he wakes up a severely handicapped man. Over the course of years he learns with great fortitude to live with his handicap. Thirty years later he meets the extreme athlete, Serge Roetheli, who recently returned from his epic run around the world. From this meeting a mad project evolves: despite his handicap, David will try, with Serge’s help and training, to climb the Vaucher Route, the place where his life was so fundamentally changed.
