The film examines love relationships between men and women, using as an example three different generations of the same family: grandmother, mother and granddaughter, who is the director of the film. Ninette, Sylviane and Elsa: three different eras, three different perceptions, three different experiences in the film. Emerging from behind these love relationships are questions about generational exchange, the image of women and mother-daughter relationships.
