Because of heavy snowfalls in the Alps, the Schwarenbach Hotel is completely cut off from the rest of the world in winter. Two mountain guides are in charge of watching over it until the spring thaws. But will Ulrich, the younger of the two, be able to endure this seemingly endless isolation and the presence of the enigmatic Gaspard?
