The story of an 11-year-old Tuscan girl whose home life is dominated by her mother’s depression. When her family will not take her to Rome, she takes off on her own to fulfil her dream. Fearless and open to everything, Silvia meets up with a 13-year-old gypsy girl on a train. Shot in a real Roma camp with resident non-actors, the film is a tender, frightening and exciting emotional journey based on events of the director’s real life.
