Anne-Marie Blanc is almost a creature of myth. She is at the same time an emblem of the XXth century, and a symbolic bridge between the French and German-speaking parts of Switzerland. Her persona is one of the utmost simplicity, which has not prevented her from interpreting, with considerable talent and much discretion, the most classical and symbolic characters of the repertory in a dazzling career that has lasted 63 years. This film, in the making of which she actively collaborated, paints the portrait of a great lady of the theatre and the cinema, giving an intimate close-up both of the actress and of the charming woman below the surface.
