In the streets of Havana Fernando Pérez is shooting the only Cuban feature film of the year: “La vida es silbar”. The subject of the film is a search for happiness, and indeed for the filmmaker himself filming is the way to happiness. How do the many curious bystanders react to the shooting of the film? Or to the title “Life is whistling”? What does happiness mean to them? What fascinates them about film as a medium?
