This film shows a figurine of a hussar being put together. Once it has been completed, the figurine is confronted with the photograph of Géricoault's famous painting of a mounted hussar about to charge. The figurine finds the latter so much more romantic and daring than himself that he tries to imitate it - little knowing what he risks.
