Three ruthless young men from the “jeunesse dorée” in Naples brutally demonstrate how problematic love can be, through the example of one fearful young woman. Coelio is crazy about Marianne, but doesn’t have the courage to speak to her. His friend, Octave, is assigned the role of go-between. In the heated verbal clashes that follow, you can almost hear the grating of Musset’s pen.
