“Paysages avec parents éloignés” (Landscapes with distant relations) is the world première of an opera presented at Geneva's principal theatre in October 2002. The documentary “Les paysages de Heiner Goebbels” tells the story of the process of creation of this opera, composed and produced by Heiner Goebbels, a very special kind of artist who for his first creation in the operatic genre brings together two soloists, a 16-member choir, 19 instrumentalists and a libretto made up of various texts, essays and poems, whose basic theme is what the eye sees.
