Paris, 1890. Joseph de Bardon loves walking through the cemeteries. One day, he meets there a Widow, devastated by the loss of her husband, killer during the war. Joseph de Bardon takes care of her and little by little, builds a relationship with this Widow. Falling desperately in love with her, he suddenly gets tired of this relationship. In the mean to leave her, he pretexts a trip abroad, allowing him to be again a bachelor.
