A portrait of two young Swiss entrepreneurs who migrated to St. Petersburg in 1992 to start life afresh in a transitional economy. Undaunted by the current Russian crisis they have decided to remain in their new homeland, having fallen in love not just with the country and its people, but with their own part in this new “Wild East” scheme of things. Chris’s party service organises banquets in magnificent palaces, both for Russian companies and for tourists. As for Walter, his language school specialises in teaching Russian and Business English. Quite apart from their professional commitments, the two Swiss have also found their lifetime partners in St. Petersburg. The film shows how these new-style entrepreneurs live, love and work in the erstwhile capital of Imperial Russia.
