The film tells the story of a young woman with a passion for mountain climbing who, after just failing to climb the Matterhorn, returns home to find her beloved in the arms of another. She takes out her frustration by climbing a high-rise building. On the 18th floor she meets Sam,a young pianist, who is preparing for a competition. They fall in love. Lisa discovers that she has Aids, and has to confront a final challenge.
