On a clear moonlit night Mamlakat is unable to resist the charm of a mysterious stranger, and becomes pregnant. The man disappears. Mamlakat, her father Safar and her mentally disturbed brother Nasreddin together set off to find him, in this tragicomic adventure story set in a wild and surreal landscape.
