A tragicomic love story where money, a coup and dead monkeys cause commotion in daily life. Thomas is a slightly calculating film director from Zurich. Léa is a proud, liberated African woman. Together they form an explosive couple. She feels homesick, he thinks about the rent. She complains about her difficulty of integrating with the Swiss, he has to cope with importing monkey meat in his suitcase. This tragicomedy swings back and forth between laughter and tears at the couple’s deep desire to remain together, in spite of their differences.

La storia d’amore tragicomica di una coppia mista, la cui vita quotidiana è scombussolata dai soldi, da un colpo di stato e da scimmie morte. Thomas è un regista zurighese un po’ pedante, Léa una donna africana orgogliosa e indipendente. Insieme formano una coppia esplosiva. Lei soffre di nostalgia per la sua terra, lui pensa all’affitto. Lei si lamenta delle difficoltà di integrazione, lui della carne di scimmia che ha dovuto portare a casa in valigia. Una tragicommedia che oscilla continuamente tra il riso e il pianto, con alla base la volontà dei due coniugi di continuare ad essere una coppia, nonostante le difficoltà, o forse proprio grazie ad esse.
