This story starts off like a detective novel. Three gangsters and their sidekicks are readying a clearly ill-fated coup, entailing a lot of telephone calls and coded messages. The suspense mounts increasingly until the end of the story, an end surely unexpected by the spectator. Or: how to manipulate the spectator.
