About ten years ago Jean-Luc Godard visited Marcel Ophüls in the Pyrenees to propose making a film together about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Due to differences of opinion, however, the film never materialized. On October 31, 2009, the two met at Théâtre Saint-Gervais in Geneva to discuss the matter once again. The film portrays the encounter between these two icons in film history.
