A camera team accompanied the artist Martin Ziegelmüller for three years, observing him as he worked. We are given an intimate glimpse of his unbridled creativity, his urgency to press forward, his affirmation of quality, his irritation with mediocrity and his ability to criticize himself mercilessly. The film is, however, ultimately shaped by Martin Ziegelmüller himself, with his presence and his elementary vigour and vitality defining the momentum and rhythm of the film.
