Michelle Zimmermann, a spirited 27-year-old woman, has suffered since birth from Epidermolysis Bullosa, an incurable blistering skin disease. Actually, newborns have practically no chance of survival, but Michelle has survived – thanks to her strong will and her mother. Michelle is anything but thin-skinned, however. She leads a self-determined life, dances, rides horseback and dreams of her future. From childhood Michelle has had a dream of being cured in the Moroccan desert, her father’s native land. The film accompanies Michelle on her bold journey that takes many surprising turns.
