Karl's kühne Gassenschau, the largest outdoor theatre in Switzerland, is a guest in St-Triphon. The film portrays everyday encounters between the sixty employees of the theatre backstage. It provides an intimate look behind the scenes of this large cultural firm and tells the story of people who, despite difficulties and conflicts, succeed in appreciating day-to-day dealings and working together. A world behind the spectacle which remains otherwise hidden to spectators on the street.
