Ali and Rashid fled from Iran to Switzerland, 5 respectively 8 years ago. They were not granted asylum, thus their sojourn remained illegal. Now they are living in a departure center above the little mountain village Valzeina. Up there, they are to be encouraged to leave the country voluntarily. Having no perspective, occupation or alternative option, they are carving out their existence on the mountain. Not knowing what they are waiting for, they are defenceless at the mercy of the mood of the immigration authorities of the canton of Grisons.
