A short glimpse into the everyday life of an old couple, a landlord and his housekeeper. They have both lived in the same house for years and were once very close in better times. By now, the housekeeper is resigned to the landlord’s fads and foibles. Until the day he makes a comment that hurts her so deeply, that she makes a fatal decision: the landlord’s lotto game is to be his downfall.
