A young woman on the run, alone at the train station. The last train has already left. The station at night – full of suspicious characters – becomes the focus of her fears, hopes and dreams. A different world reveals itself: Loneliness evolves into an alarming frenzy which plagues, fascinates and hypnotises the woman. Markus Fischer's dance film “Passengers” combines the realism of a feature film with the highly stylised art of modern dance. The choreographer is Richard Wherlock, former ballet director at Lucerne's theater, who has been the head of ballet at the Komische Oper in Berlin since the summer of 1999. The actors are the members of the former Lucerne Ballet.
