As its starting point, the film follows the drawings in the 1923-24 diary of the big game hunter Vivienne von Wattenwyl. From these records of the hunting safaris of those days we move to modern development project in Kenya and Uganda, to find that there is growing disagreement on the matter of protecting wildlife species – including elephants, mountain gorillas and rhinoceroses.
