Sabine Hertig expands the concept of collage. Scrap is more than rejected paper, it means parting with principles and rules. Hertig visualises today's vast, yet ephemeral collective visual memory – while trying to renew the very concept of painting. Her technique goes beyon the employment of artistic tools other than scissors and glue: it creates a broken and yet holistic mirror of a world that has become a montage
in itself.
