Little Mila goes with her parents and brother to the funeral of Uncle Paul. Mama explained to Mila that Uncle Paul died because he was always so sad. Mila finds it impossible to believe that one can die from just being sad. She is a bit concerned because everybody standing around the coffin is very sad. That simply has to change. But today nobody is going to allow themselves to laugh. Mila cannot understand that and nobody understands Mila – except Uncle Paul.
