A docudrama about the director’s family ties taking place during the lockdown in Paris and the rise of anti-Asian racism. Through their beliefs in the soul and in reincarnation, she becomes the embodiment of a lost cousin named Tuyet, creating a link between past and present, war and peace, word and silence. The traumatic memory and psychological inheritance of her family are materialized through her interrogations and dreams highlighting the gap between history and individual stories. While the past takes over the present, time doesn’t stop as the circle of life finally ends.
