The name of Basel Street in Accra comes from missionaries from Basel who set out to convert the natives of Ghana in 1830. The director’s great-grandfather arrived as a missionary to Ghana in 1893. She searches for traces he may have left behind and meets people who explain how the Basel Mission influences the society even today.
