In the Californian desert, lost on Route 66, the Sunset Motel is a mysterious place populated by marginal figures from the universe of cartoonist Thomas Ott. We take on the role of the motel's new guest, who becomes acquainted, from one room to the next, with the ghostly presences that frequent this place of shadows. At the end of our exploration, one conclusion is possible: the Sunset Motel is an antechamber, the incarnation of Limbo, where the souls of the dead wait before reaching their final destination; the light.
Sunset Motel is an immersive virtual reality project in collaboration with and based on the work of Swiss illustrator Thomas Ott.
