The story of Angelo, a pensioner still full of curiosity and in love with nature, a real “genuine article” who is still moved by poetry and music. Recording the minor events that now make up his life, the film captures the joys and melancholy of an old man who finds himself alone after the death of his wife. Angelo retreats increasingly into his own world, as his memory begins to fade and he is deprived of his independence. His odyssey begins in an ultramodern home for the elderly where, a lone hero he refuses to submit as the sands of time escape his grasp, carrying away his memories and his past. A film full of spontaneity, interpreted by non-professionals, and in which the Ticino dialect mixes with standard Italian, just as it does in the real world.
