The story is about an abstract world in which industrialization has reached its peak. The central character is unable to cope any longer and breaks out. Left alone, the abandoned personality tries to attain perfection. After numerous futile attempts, and shortly before or after going mad, much more than the desperately sought perfection is suddenly revealed.
