Mary lies in a morgue. Although dead, she's still conscious contemplating her past. Vividly, she remembers a conversation with her lover about the meaning of her body. At the time, Mary thought her body irrelevant – it meant nothing but what thought makes it. However, she now has to experience how Doyle, the warden, gazes at her body, and explores the connection between body, soul and name.
