Inmates of the prison of Witzwil in canton Berne took part in an unusual outing in the Jura mountains in the summer of 1997. They provided their services to either carry disabled people or to pull them in carts over the difficult mountainous terrain, making a welcome change to the sad and monotonous daily routine for all concerned.
