Bernardo is a police officer from Ticino. Though scared of water, he’s forced to investigate a series of disappearances on the edges of the Lake Maggiore, where women have been mysteriously vanishing for generations. Facing the myths and beliefs of a region where the lake seems to be the only suspect of his impossible investigation, Bernardo, along with his daughter Aline, will have to strive to face up to this unfathomable body of water.

Bernardo è un ufficiale di polizia ticinese. Acquafobico, è tuttavia costretto ad indagare su una serie di sparizioni in riva al Lago Maggiore, dove le donne sembrano scomparire misteriosamente da diverse generazioni. Di fronte ai miti e alle credenze di una regione in cui il lago risulta essere l'unico sospettato in un'indagine impossibile, Bernardo, accompagnato dalla figlia Aline, cercherà di confrontarsi con questo insondabile specchio d'acqua.
