This film is the story of a man with a muscle disease who spent over 40 years in a Swiss home for the handicapped. Both Christoph Eggli's boundless sense of independence and his health and financial considerations took him to Bali. His invalid's insurance was cut off, and he was threatened with bankruptcy. A portrait of a free-thinker and the wonderful uses – and alterations – his body finds for space and his thoughts find for time.
