Wanda Tura, the legendary “queen of the handlebars”, began her career in the 1920's as the living target in her uncle’s knife-throwing act. It was in the 1950's in Italy that she acquired her distinctive title of “Regina della Bicicletta”. When she later returned to Vienna, Wanda converted a brothel that had fallen on hard times into a velodrome from which she made intergalactic journeys on a golden cycle, travelling between Venus, Mars and Jupiter.
