For a quarter of a century now, the Reitschule cultural centre has asserted itself as a blatant splash of colour amidst the wasteland of orderliness in Bern, the city of dutiful public officials. Insightfully and close to the action, the film accompanies nine activists from various generations in the backrooms of the Reitschule. It documents the incredibly wide range of cultural offerings, candidly addresses the centre’s negative side effects and also lets the sceptics among the politicians and police have their say. The camera remains right in the middle of it all the while.
