Yasin Yilmaz is terminally ill, diagnosed at birth with Farber disease, a genetic metabolic disorder. Yasin is the only one who has it in Switzerland. Doctors gave him three year to live; soon he will be an adult. The filmmaker accompanied the Yilmaz family for one year: in everyday life, on holiday in Turkey and at a football match in Istanbul. The focus of the film is not Yasin’s illness, but rather a family that has learned to deal with an onerous ordeal. Will Yasin celebrate his 18th birthday?
