23.04.2009

The Swiss documentary film “Anarchisme, mode d’emploi” by Daniel Künzi (Société Productions Maison, Geneva) was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the 10th “DetectiveFEST” International Film and Television Festival in Moscow (April 15-20, 2009). The festival, which is entirely devoted to detective films, invited 42 films from Russia, USA, France, the Ukraine, Egypt and Switzerland to compete in the “Documentary TV Series and Detective Films” category.
The 61-minute film “Anarchisme, mode d’emploi” portrays the history of anarchism in Switzerland, based on the biography of André Boesiger (1913 – 2005). The jury of the “DetectiveFEST” was receptive to the telling of this chapter of mutual Swiss and Russian history. In fact, the founders of anarchism – Bakunin and Kropotkin – developed their theories while living in exile in Switzerland.

“Anarchisme, mode d’emploi” will be screened next at the 5th Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina (May 2-9, 2009) in conjunction with a retrospective of films by Daniel Künzi. The retrospective will include the following films: “C’était mon rêve” (2008); “Missions chez Tito” (2006); “La solidarité” (2003); “Déportée en Sibérie”; and “Vie et mort d’un révolutionnaire” (1995).
