Festival in Copenhagen presents Swiss films

20.09.2006

Swiss films mark a significant presence at this year’s Copenhagen Film Festival, which takes place from September 21 to October 1, 2006. In its “New Perspectives” series, the audience festival shows “Nachbeben/Going Private” by Stina Werenfels (Production: Dschoint Ventschr, Zurich), “Ryna” by Ruxandra Zenide (Production: Pacific Films, Navarro Films, Geneva), and “Spiele Leben/You Bet Your Life” by Anton Svoboda (Co-production: Triluna Film, Zurich). Also presented will be “KussKuss – Your Happiness Depends On Me!” by Sören Senn (Production: The Film & Television Academy “Konrad Wolf, Berlin), and “Ça brûle” by Claire Denis (Co-production: Vega Film, Zurich).
This invitation to the festival in Copenhagen represents the second big appearance of Swiss filmmaking in Denmark, after SWISS FILMS - in cooperation with the Swiss embassy - launched a showing of thirteen Swiss feature, documentary, and short films produced over the past five years at the Cinematheque in Copenhagen and Aarhus a year ago.
