Born in Greece in 1977. She studied film and sociology in Athens. Her debut THE ETERNAL RETURN OF ANTONIS PARASKEVAS premiered at the Berlinale Forum in 2013 and participated in more than 40 international film festivals. In 2013 she was honoured as one of the "10 European Directors to Watch" by Variety and received the Hellenic Film Academy's inaugural Directing Award in 2014. SON OF SOFIA (2017) was selected for the Berlinale Residency Programme 2013 and the Co-Production Market 2014, won the Works in Progress Award at Les Arcs 2015, premiered in competition at Tribeca FF 2017 and won the Best International Narrative Feature Award. The film also received 5 awards from the Greek Film Academy, including Best Feature Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay.
