Jean-Gabriel Périot

Born in 1974 in France. French citizenship. Works as filmmaker, having developed own editing style with archives. Between documentary, animation and experimental, most of his works deal with violence and history. His films have been screened worldwide in numerous festivals and were honoured by many prizes. RETURNING TO REIMS (FRAGMENTS) premiered in Cannes' Directors Fortnight in 2021 and was awarded the César for Best Documentary in 2023.
