Jeanne Berthoud

Born in 1971 in Bern. 1991-92 Attends the Schule für Gestaltung, Bern. 1992 Spends four months at the University of St. Petersburg. 1992-93 Studies drama, Russian and journalism at the Universities of Bern and Fribourg. 1993-98 Attends the DAVI (Département d'Audiovisuel de l'École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne, Bussigny). 1998 Receives degree as audiovisual director from ECAL. 1997-98 Participates in the European Documentary Film Workshop Vision 2. Since 1998 works as independent film director. 2000-01 Receives scholarship from canton Bern’s committee for photo and film. Study visit in New York. 2005-07 Consultant for the “Independent Filmmakers' Association - South Caucasus IFA-SC”, a DEZA project.
