Mohammed Soudani

Born in 1949 in El-Asnam, Algeria. Joint Swiss and Algerian citizenship. He lives in Switzerland since 1972. He attended the IDHEC (Institut des Hautes Écoles Cinématographiques) in Paris and trained as director of photography in 1980 in the United States. Since 1987 he works as a producer and director of photography for the Radiotelevisione Svizzera (RSI) and for several other companies. WAALO FENDO (LÀ OÙ LA TERRE GÈLE) (1997) received ex-aequo the 1998 Swiss Film Award, Best Fiction Film. He teaches at the SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland) and at CISA (International Academy of Audiovisual Sciences) in Locarno.
