Simone Häberling

Born in 1976 in Zurich, Switzerland. BA in German language and literature, film studies and art history. In 2003 she founded the film production company Presence Production Zurich. The company specifically promotes young talent, whether in front of or behind the camera, and therefore works closely with filmkids.ch and Swiss Film School-SFS on suitable projects. In 2004, for the successful feature film «My Name is Eugen», Häberling was responsible for the casting of the children, production coordination and media relations. In 2007 she founded the non-profit association filmkids.ch - Filmschule für Kinder und Jugendliche. She also produced the short film ALP TRAUM by This Lüscher and won the Prix du Pathé. 2008-12 Häberling was employed as junior producer for the feature films SENNENTUNTSCHI and DAS MISSENMASSAKER at Kontraproduktion AG. At the same time, she completed her Master's degree in Cultural Management at the ZHAW in 2009. 2013-17 she worked with the theatre group 400asa for the transmedia project DER POLER - DAS GAME and as producer for DER POLDER - DER FILM. In 2016 she won the theatre prize of the Federal Office of Culture for «innovative storytelling» with 400asa. In 2017 she produced the youth feature film THE REAL THING. In 2018 she founded the new label SwissFilmSchool-SFS and produced several short films and video clips.
