Urs Egger
Director
1953-2020. Born in Switzerland. Worked as film correspondent in Los Angeles for Neue Zürcher Zeitung and other papers. Assistant director for John Frankenheimer, Denis Lewiston, John Glen, Nicolas Gessner and Yves Boisset, among others. 1976-77 Director Fellow at AFI (American Film Institute), Center for Advanced Film Studies in Los Angeles. Since 1994 lived in Berlin. His films have won numerous awards, among them New York TV Festival, Monte-Carlo TV festival, Grimme Award.
