Une banlieue de Zurich en l'an 2015. Benjamin Lewis a tout son cercle d'amis sur la plateforme internet Tracebook. C'est pourquoi sa vie solitaire dans une maison sous un pont d'autoroute ne le dérange pas plus que ça. Le jour où il accepte son millième ami, son amie virtuelle voudrait le rencontrer pour la première fois. La réalité va changer le monde de Benjamin, si bien que rien ne se passe comme le prévoyait Tracebook. Une histoire sur nos amis modernes, l'amour et la solitude.
